No u have to have smart tv
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi, Bob. Thank you for your question. The LG Soundbar (SQC4R) model is designed to work with both smart and non-smart TVs, it does depend on how you plan to connect it. If your Samsung TV is not a smart TV (purchased in 2013), you can still wirelessly connect it to the SQC4R soundbar using Bluetooth if your TV has Bluetooth capabilities. However, if your Samsung TV does not have Bluetooth, you won’t be able to connect wirelessly. In that case, you can still connect the soundbar via HDMI ARC (if your TV has an HDMI ARC port) or optical audio for a wired connection. To get the best performance, we recommend checking your TV’s ports and settings to see if Bluetooth or HDMI ARC is available. If you have any trouble or need assistance with the connection, feel free to send us a private message on social media @LGUSSupport, and we’ll be happy to walk you through the setup. ^Juvy
