“I just bought this TV and the screen says it's 720p but it's a 1080p? Why? I noticed that the picture wasn't that great. I have an HDMI cord hooked to it. How do I fix this? Thanks”

I had the same question and as it comes out it was easy to fix. Simply put, the TV displays whatever resolution it is getting from your cable box/provider. I have Comcast X1 HD. I went to the display settings and it was set to 720p...changed it to 1080p and now the TV plays 1080p!
