Thank you to both who answered. The problem was with the DISH receiver and not the TV. I called LG, they said the problem was with the DISH receiver so I called DISH. Problem solved!

Please try again later.I have purchased 2 models of LG LED Smart tv’s, the last two tv’s (same model #, different sizes) will on occasion play some older movies or shows in a smaller frame. However my issues with it I believe are due to how they were filmed originally. I would suggest if you haven’t done so already, taking the tv back to its original settings (can be done by going to Settings-General-Reset to Initial Settings) then set up the tv by only doing the essential functions such as location, tv provider, internet setup, etc. Dont change any of the actual preset tv settings. See how that does. If that doesn’t work, here is a picture of my “Picture” screen in settings. I’ve not touched it since setup.
