“I am confused about how to access the apps. I see Netflix is on the remote. Are all available apps accessed through the remote? I read that some TV's require a smart phone or Ipad type device to access the apps. Is that chromecast? Thanks for any help.”

you can go to setup on apps and download most apps from the store as long as you are connected to internet. I have amazon prime, facebook, intsagram, and more. you log in just as you would on a computer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.All available apps are accessible through the remote. There's a "Home" button to the right of the Netflix button that pulls up all the apps, as well as access to the settings. It looks like a little house.
