• North America (USA, Canada and Mexico, and USA Territories - U.S, Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and Guam) do not use the PAL broadcasting system. The PAL system is used in parts of Europe and Asia and South America. This TV is built to be used with the North American Broadcast TV protocol., If you moved to another country that uses the PAL system, this TV would not be able to receive TV broadcasts in that country. If you are thinking of relocating to another country that uses the PAL system, save your money and buy a new TV in the country that will be your new home.

• No - we use a multi system DVD to play UK discs but the conversion is done in the DVD not the TV.
