“I have a surround sound system with a red and white connector. My TV has the audio in/out plugs in the back and I have the system plugged in and turned on, but I can't get any sound out of my speakers. I can't figure out how to get it set up to work.”

Good afternoon, Kira, it recommended if it’s applicable to use a fiber optic cord which transfers 5.1 sound from your television to the sound bar/speaker system.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If you have an hdmi connector that supports ARC then connect hdmi 1, I believe, to the ARC connection on your surround sound system. ARC allows sound to travel in either direction along with video.
