Hi Fred. We regret to read that you are disappointed with the design of the LG UK6300PUE 4K HDR Smart LED UHD TV w/ AI ThinQ® - 43" Class (42.5" Diag), Model # 43UK6300PUE. The LG "specialist" may have misunderstood you if you asked about the TV having an audio output. All our TVs have an audio output but the audio output is the Optical Digital Audio Output which has replaced the older analog stereo RCA barrel audio ports that are color coded red and white. The UK6300 series TVs are the series that introduces Bluetooth support which you can use to pair with a pair of Bluetooth Wireless Stereo Headsets. Regrettably, we do not have any 4K UHD Smart LED LCD TVs that feature a headphone jack (aka 3.5mm port). The TV can be connected via its Optical Digital Audio Output to an external receiver, Home Theater System or Sound Bar or you can pair them with such devices if they support Bluetooth to stream the audio wirelessly...^IFV
