• As long as you have your iPhone and TV connected to the same WiFi network. It prompts you to setup Apple airplay during the setup process

• It all depends on what you are trying to accomplish. You have two viewing options with this TV and your iPhone, iPad, Mac, etc. You can either use Airplay to stream to the TV or you can mirror the actual screen of the device to the screen. Hope this helps!
