Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I recently purchased this same TV and I have the same "unhappiness" with the lack of clarity. I got this LG to replace the Sony that I had for 11 years. Big mistake. However, this LG does have a feature that can help. Under your settings on the remote (top row, 2nd from right) click on that and you will get a column of settings. First setting at top of column is for clarity options. Click on that and then click on your right or left arrow and will get a different clarity setting, such as Filmmaker, Expert Bright room, Expert Dark Room, Vivid, Standard, APS, Cinema, Sports, Game, and HDR Effect. I use the HDR (High Definition Resolution) option. However, none of the selections can compare with my former Sony. It's too bad the Best Buy Sales Person didn't bring this up; I would have purchased the Sony, even though the price was higher, which I will do with my next purchase and is also what I would recommend to anybody considering a new purchase.
