Which Tivo DVR series 5 model are you inquiring about? It is not a matter of compatibility but more one of connectivity. TiVo's fifth generation TiVo DVRs (i.e series 5), the "Roamio" line, consists of four units: •TiVo Roamio OTA (current model) • TiVo Roamio (discontinued, but may be available with lifetime service) • TiVo Roamio Plus (discontinued, but may be available with lifetime service), • TiVo Roamio Pro (refurbished units available, and units may also be available with lifetime service). As with all other HD TiVos, the Roamio line requires a CableCARD to decrypt the channels that you order from your cable company. Federal law does not require DIRECTV, DISH or U-Verse to provide CableCARDs, so they don't. As a result, no HD TiVo works with these systems. If you receive cable TV from a cable provider, you’ll need a multi-stream CableCARD decoder to receive HD and digital cable channels. The Coaxial RF cable coming from the wall, or from an HDTV antenna, can be connected to the CABLE/ANT port on the back of the DVR and the HDMI port on the Tivo DVR can be connected to an HDMI port on the LG 43 inch Class 4K Smart UHD TV with AI ThinQ® (42.5'' Diag), Model # 43UN7300PUF...^IFV
