There shouldn't be a protective film on the LG 43 inch Class 4K Smart UHD TV with AI ThinQ® (42.5'' Diag), Model # 43UN7300PUF that needs to be peeled off. The TV has a semi-gloss screen and it it did have a protective film that needed to be peeled off, there would be a reminder on the film saying to peel the film off. Smudges on the screen can be cleaned with a soft, dry microfiber cloth and you can moisten the microfiber cloth slightly with water or a mild detergent for stubborn stains or smudges...^IFV
