“I plugged my red and white cable for my wireless headphones into the corresponding red and white ports on the back of the TV but can not get any sound out of my headphones”

If your headphones are wireless why are you plugging them into the back of the TV .. Remember that the TV must say audio out . If your headphones are wireless , know that there are either Bluetooth audio headphones, or a wireless headset that will have a seperate RF unit ( MEANS RADIO FREQUENCY) it's a charge tower for the compatable headset that plugs into the TV allowing so you can you get wireless audio and comes with basic cables to connect to the TV, . If it's a Bluetooth headset you must buy a Bluetooth dongle, Which has a male phone Jack connection on it, Use a analog stereo audio cable with two Male stereo analog connections on one end, with a female headphone Jack insert on the other end.. Plug In the Bluetooth dongle into the female headphone Jack on the audio cable .the other end plug in to the TV'S audio output. , (The TV red and white female inserts . The TV itself must say audio output with the Same color inserts only female ports. Now set the TV on its settings go to audio and set to audio out. You would go to the bluetooth dongle hold the searh button-down depending on how it connects, for it to start blinking, this would indicate its searching for an audio source and connect your headset you should then have audio..
