“Does this TV work well with cable? Do you need the TV remote and the Cable remote? The one I just bought needs both and it is so irritating. I don't want Fire TV or Roku TV. Looking for a great picture, sound and after set up only use my cable remote.”

The 50UK6090PUA is not compatible with the magic remote that has universal control capability. It's standard remote does not have universal control to control external devices such as a cable box.
