• I would think 8’ would be ideal. Not sure what you mean by safe tho. Mine is wall mounted above my jeyboard stack in the recording studio and I’d say I’m about 3’ from it when working in my studio. I haven’t glowed green yet, nor gone blind. I’m no doctor however. Maybe ask an optometrist?
