Can the wifi / smart feature be turned off? null

Yes, I guess I can because we have never used it. Honestly I didn’t even remember it had that feature. I just use the old fashioned remote it comes with. I also have a smaller unit from LG, the one thing I will say about this particular unit is that it is much noisier than the smaller one. That said I assume that most larger units will be noisier. Other than that no complaints about the unit, easy to use and efficient. I would plan to brace it or buy a mount for it. Although I think it technically is lighter than the weight required for mounting I was uncomfortable with the pressure it was putting on the window.
