You will need to get cookware that is induction ready. A quick way to test this is to take a magnet and see if it sticks to the bottom of your pots/pans. Most newer cookware sets will tell you if they are induction ready on the bottom.

Induction cooktops heat by creating a magnetic field under the glass surface, so you’ll need cookware with a ferromagnetic (magnetic) base. Here’s what to look for: Compatible Cookware Materials: Cast iron, enameled cast iron, and certain stainless‑steel pots and pans designed for induction. Dishwasher‑Safe Induction‑Ready Cookware: Many manufacturers label their pans “induction compatible” or display the induction coil icon on the bottom. Non‑Compatible Materials: Glass, copper, aluminum, and non‑magnetic stainless steel won’t work unless they have a specially laminated ferrous layer. Troubleshooting Tip: Try the “magnet test”—hold a small refrigerator magnet to the bottom of your pan. If it sticks firmly, the cookware will work on the induction element. After placing the pan on the burner, the induction zone’s indicator light should activate (and the display will let you select heat levels). If you see an “E0” error or the element won’t engage, it often indicates the pan isn’t induction‑compatible or is too small for the selected heating zone. https://www.lg.com/us/cooking-appliances/lg-lsil6332fe-slide-in-induction-range#pdp_specs For more details on recommended cookware sizes and best practices, or if you’d like personalized guidance on selecting the right pans for your kitchen, please send us a private message on social media @LGUSSupport.
