The top oven is very like a large toaster oven - I had the same thought as you, and that is how we use the smaller top oven most, toast, pizza, garlic bread, love the two oven design! And as long as you are using it that way it seems to work great - short warming events. We have had trouble with the electronics, however. They are placed right above the oven door, so they get a blast every time the door is opened, and just from heat rising - even if the door is closed - that panel can get quite warm, and frequently overheats, shutting off the oven, and cannot be restarted for hours sometimes. Don’t even think about trying to use both ovens at the same time, THE ELECTRONICS WILL OVERHEAT, in the middle of your bake, and your ovens will be non-functional for hours. So far mine have always “come back” after letting it cool, then a reboot- unplug, wait, plug back in. But there is something wrong with the very design that a gas oven requires electricity to function, and has to be rebooted!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Sure you could, but you would have to flip it during the process to get both sides toasted.
