Proper professional calibration always helps. It will also increase the life of your TV by ensuring the brightness levels are not set to high because they almost always are with the default settings. Most people equate bright TV's with good picture. A proper calibration will also consider the viewing environment. Be sure to get a calibration for both a daytime (bright) and night time (dark) viewing. Make sure you have and ISF and/or THX Certified Calibrator. Hope this helps!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. You have a wide variety of presets to choose from. My E model was installed and set up by the Geek Squad and was perfect out of the box. If you like to tinker, see the advice at www.rtings.com. That's ratings without the a.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have not had mine professionally calibrated, but it did need some minor adjustment to contrast and brightness once in the iSF picture mode for my environment. I used the THX app for Android to assist me in adjusting these settings.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I didn't pay anyone to calibrate my E6 65". I "googled" calibration settings and found rtings.com to be very helpful. I used their suggestions and settings and tweaked a little from there. I'm not sure who I would trust to pay for calibration.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I didn't have to calibrate the set at all. You can calibrate to almost the infinite level if you really want to, but there are several pre set levels already available that work great. If you really want to get techy and calibrate, then go to YouTube where you will find a couple of calibration videos.
