“Has anyone been able to pair the magic remote with apple tv? I can only get "up" & "down" programmed. When trying "left," apple tv says the button is already in use. The "universal control settings" feature in the C1 doesn't seem help.”

It seems that the remote isn’t as magical as advertised. Missing a number of key features on it. It doesn’t fully function as a universal remote, seems limited by line of sight (IR?). No backlit numbers, or even some sort of identification scheme for dark room usage.. I have only found success using the remote to control the volume on any of my equipment. Sort of a shame for such a device..
