“we set up the tv internet and apps all work but when connected to my Direct TV receiver no connection was shown on the screen. Does anyone know why that is does this require a 4k receiver even though we aren't using 4k capabilities?”

• Direct tv will attach to the tv thru one of the HDMI connections. Scan your hdmi on the tv to see which one you are attached to. Hope this resolves your problem.
