• It does have a plethora of streaming apps and if you are considering an alternate streaming device, I would suggest the Roku line of streaming devices. We own the Roku Ultra and it has thousands of streaming apps and also live channels through a free service. As far as the stand-alone tv, I do think there are some free streaming services that have live tv but I'm not 100% sure on that.
