My Tv works great in a dark room. I have my rooms dark in the summer months to keep the heat out. The living room is in the center of the house and is always dark. Haven't had any problems.

We are not aware of any reported issues with the performance of the LG UHD 85 Series 65 inch Class 4K Smart UHD TV with AI ThinQ® (64.5'' Diag), Model # 65UN8500PUI in a dark room. Comparisons between IPS Panels and VA panels are always that IPS panels do not have as good a contrast ratio...^IFV
