Has anyone experienced the border of the stove, on the metal, getting extremely hot, as hot as the burner basically, when only on for 5 minutes? I’m trying to figure out if this is faulty range or if this is normal for others. Not just warm, extremely hot null

I just kicked on the front left burner on hi heat for about 5 mins and the metal border next to it was basically still cool to the touch. Only barely warm due to the radiant heat from the burner. But by no means considered hot.
