“The bass on this tv overwhelms the sound. I have tried to adjust the settings and had the Geek Squad here and they said that's how it is suppose to sound. Can't stand the constant drum noise during watching tv. Any suggestions or get some other TV.”

The sound built-in seems OK, but after testing and finding the required fiber optic audio cable - luckily I still had one... I got my old Pioneer surround system hooked up to it... basic theater in a box a box in the day... works great with the new tv on auto mode, it always sounds pretty good. Much better than the built in speakers. On any surround system with a real amp you will be able to turn the SW (sub woofer) channel way down if you prefer. I keep mine pretty level with the three front channels and like to crank up the rear channels a bit. I use regular wired rear speaker via a wireless transmitter /amp system - Rocketfish IIRC. You need a surround system or sound bar. Turn off the internal speakers completely.
