I am in an area that there is no DSL or Cell service. I can not use a smart tv because it will not work. Most televisions now are smart tv's. What kind of a tv will I be able to buy or if I buy a smart tv can I still use it w/out the smart stuff?? null

Ren, the good thing about "smart TV's is you can still hook up your DVD and any other device for entertainment. I say go for it and when cable/DSL become available in your area, you'll be good to go

You can use OTA antenna if you have broadcast TV in the area. If you have cable service you can do that but if you have that you can get internet. If none of these, you don't need a TV, smart or not, except to game or watch DVDs.
