A:AnswerI have found the picture to be very bright (almost too bright sometimes). I am almost exclusively using a 4K Apple TV for all of our viewing which defaults to DolbyVision. But even w/o the AppleTV, I never found it dim. It's possible your room has more natural light or a window directly facing the TV? I will say, we generally watch TV in the evenings (though even in the day, I would not say the picture is dim). So maybe not normal?
A:AnswerMy 77” LG GX was mounted to the studs holding up the drywall.
I assume there are studs holding up you drywall, so it should work. My wiring is installed in the cavity. However, the Geek squad had previously TV installed a manufactured. plug system through the cavity allowing me to plug in one end near the floor and the receptacle end was mounted behind the TV allowing the TV plug to remain hidden. This system also provided a tuned through the wall cavity to run HDMI cords.
If you use the mounting bracket that comes with the TV, I don’t think you’ll have room to hide the AppleTV box. I have a Roku box and I store it in a cabinet with my Blu-ray. and cable DVR.

A:AnswerWhen I installed my TV, I cut into the wall to confirm where the studs were, then I installed a nice strong 2"x 6" wood board by whatever length you need to fit it in between the studs. This provided a very strong surface to mount the TV bracket. I did not use any kind of recessed box (or any box) in my setup. I think that's optional. I would consider letting the pros at Best Buy do the job. It's risky doing it yourself, even though I got lucky installing mine without damaging it. My brother-in-law and I installed it, but we should have not taken the risk, considering the cost of the TV. Something to think about.
A:AnswerContrary to the incorrect answer by someone who seems to work for LG, this model (GX) does come with their flush mount wall bracket and NO table-top stand. Be wary of that wall bracket though; it's exactly wide enough for 16" center studs, and even then it deforms in a manner that made me extremely uncomfortable with only four-corner mounting. It does support 300x300 vesa mount, but you'd have to buy your own bracket, and then you'd lose flush mount. I ended up ripping my wall open to install 2x8's between studs so I could mount the bracket where I wanted.
A:AnswerThe GX is a tank with the metal frame/chassis extending a consistent distance between the entire front surface. It is not components on the bottom and wafer-thin top half like the CX. It's meant to be flush mounted so you have one consistent profile for the entire display.
