Hope this answers your question. Pardon my rough sketch, the blue area is the offset which allows you to run cables to the bottom of the TV, the yellow is the power chord which also runs into this area. If you are planning to have power or cable management setup in the back of the TV, you need to make sure it is in this channel they provided. I have a soundbar which hides the cables running down from the TV, so I did not have to do much to hide the cables.
