I just bought this external dvd cd player. When I insert the disk my laptop tells me the all the info that is on the disk , but will not play it. I have windows 10 on a 6 year Toshiba laptop using Toshiba Media builtin. What am i doing wrong null

This is a simple external drive. You need additional software to read and run contents on the drive. Windows Media Player will play audio files. For DVD's, you need DVD player software.

It doesn't seem to come with a player. I downloaded Fast Player for DVD from the Microsoft store (for free) and it seems to work ok
