Will this work in a car that has apple carplay null

It is a USB plug and play, so yes if you have a USB input I believe it would play CD/DVD, not sure about stability and skipping in a moving vehicle though. It certainly works perfectly fine with my home computer that has a built in CD/DVD that no longer works
