This unit requires a supported Windows or Mac OS Operating System and specific system requirements for a hard disk drive, available memory, and video memory to operate normally. It will not work with your car stereo. ^Daphane

I would believe so. For home use you simply plug the USB to the computer. I like the portability of it especially I’ve been building a couple of builds for people. It allows plug and play and after you use it you can unplug until needed. Very impressed with this compact DVD player.
