This external hard drive plugs directly into a standard USB port on the computer. If you have a wireless network set up your iPhone and wireless printer can connect to that and no cable is needed for the iPhone or printer. I have an iPhone and a wireless printer and do not have a cable to my PC or MAC from them, only the standard USB cable from my external hard drive and CD/DVD connect to the computer.
