• Ten years ago the +/- characteristic of a disk could mean that the blank disk may or may not work with your writer. Today's hardware handles either format. Additionally a BluRay writer will write BluRay disks along with DVD and CD disks while the DVD writer will also write CDs.There may be an insignificant speed difference between the +/- characteristics but I've not noticed such.
