No but you can transfer from thumb drive to another
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. What format is the music on your CD in? Just as you would use a built-in optical drive on a PC/Laptop, to transfer music from a CD to a flash drive with the LG 8x External USB Double-Layer DVD±RW/CD-RW Drive - Black Model # SP80NB80, you must first convert (or "rip") the CD's raw audio tracks into standard digital audio files, and then copy those files onto the USB flash drive. CD audio tracks (.cda files) are not regular playback files and must be encoded into a readable format like MP3 or AAC. After inserting your music CD into the optical drive, open Windows Media Player (or Windows Media Player Legacy), or open the Apple Music app if you have a Mac. If it does not read the disc automatically, click on the CD/Disc icon in the left sidebar. Go to Rip settings > Format and select MP3. Click Rip CD. The songs will be converted and saved to your computer's default Music folder. Once the music is ripped to your hard drive as MP3s, transferring them to your USB is a quick drag-and-drop process...^Ivan.
