Assuming you are referring to the Chevrolet Equinox car, which did not come with a CD/DVD reader/player standard, then, according to the web, you should be able to connect any external CD/DVD reader/writer to the standard Apple CarPlay. If not, you should be able to connect the LG device to any iOS device, which will, then, connect with your existing Apple CarPlay.
