The LG - 8x External USB Double-Layer DVD±RW/CD-RW Drive - Black, Model # SP80NB80 can only connect to other devices via USB. The drive has a TV Connectivity function that allows you to enjoy videos, pictures and music by connecting this product to a compatible A/V device (e.g.DIGITAL TV, DIGITAL PHOTO FRAME, PC) that supports USB connectivity.It is defualted to ODD mode when it is powered on so you will need to switch it to TV mode to play it through a projector.
