• Can just download a free app & it'll allow you to watch movie's theirs no trial just go through the microsoft store

• There are many free alternative software titles out there that you can use in order to achieve what you need to get done with your drive. I prefer VLC Media Player and many apps through the Portable Apps suite installed to a USB Stick they are more than sufficient for what I need to get done. The included software is more likely introductory ware and you can install it if you like. They are very limited in functionality, however.
