Can just download a free app & it'll allow you to watch movie's theirs no trial just go through the microsoft store

There are many free alternative software titles out there that you can use in order to achieve what you need to get done with your drive. I prefer VLC Media Player and many apps through the Portable Apps suite installed to a USB Stick they are more than sufficient for what I need to get done. 

The included software is more likely introductory ware and you can install it if you like. They are very limited in functionality, however.
