• CDs use a specialized audio track format, so you cannot do a direct "CD-to-flash drive" transfer without a computer with the 8x External USB Double-Layer DVD±RW/CD-RW Drive - Black Model # SP80NB80, or any optical drive for that matter. You must first save the music to your computer before copying it to a flash drive. You will need to insert the CD into the drive and rip (import) the music using media software like Windows Media Player on PC or the Apple Music App on Mac. This converts the tracks into standard digital files (like MP3 or AAC) and saves them to your hard drive. You can then plug in your flash drive to an available USB port, and copy the files by opening the flash drive in your file explorer (File Explorer on Windows or Finder on Mac) and dragging the saved music files directly into it...^Ivan.
