It should. There's other issues that may prevent certain regions from being played. However, if you're trying to use this as a DVD player in your home theater, this won't do it. This is a USB computer-attached drive. If you're watching DVD's on your computer, you may want to make sure you can remove your region ID so you can watch things from different regions.

If the region code for a DVD doesn’t match the current region code of your DVD drive, a dialog asks if you want to change the code for the drive.
