You can use the LG SP80NB80 external DVD/CD drive with your Lenovo Chromebook to read supported CD and DVD file formats. However, Chromebooks do not support DVD playback or CD/DVD writing, and external DVD drives are not officially supported on Chrome OS. To play DVDs on your Chromebook, you may need to install Linux, but this is not officially supported and may not work with some discs.
