“Is this compatable with Chrom OS? If not why is it advertised as an option by Best Buy? I see Windows but not being fluent in tech I don't believe Chrom OS is Windows. So again why is it advertised and what can I use as an external driver.”

No I thought the same thing. But it doesn't work with Chrome Books/ tablets.
