No issues on linux, ive used it on ubuntu with Handbrake and its been compatible

I understand that manufacturers can be reticent to guarantee compatibility with linux because there are so many varieties. However, I suspect that some manufacturers just avoid mentioning linux systems, since Apple and Microsoft don't like competitors. I appreciate the LG representative offering me the stock response. I don't expect to be disappointed if I buy it to use with OPENsuse. My question was just whether any everyday linux user had a good experience with this DVD drive. Again, I expect that it will work compatibly with no problems at all. I am still just hoping to hear from another linux fan that their use of this DVD drive has been successful. Thank you
