Assuming you are asking whether a game on a CD or DVD can be run directly off the LG reader/writer, it depends on whether the game is capable of being played without being installed onto your computer. The games are installed onto the laptops/computer's hard drive. After the game is installed you will not be using this drive during the game. So no, it will not play a video game. This drive is used to read/write of CDs/DVDs. ^Daphane
