• Connected to my computer (Mac), this is among the best external DVD drives I have ever used. Works right out of the box and is exceptionally quiet. But I would not recommend the unit to connect to a television. There are too many questions and variables. The only input/output on the drive is a USB connector and the drive is powered through the USB connection. There are instructions included on how to connect to a TV through USB, but they are minimal and not very clear (at least to me). It also appears that even if successfully connected to the TV, it may only work for data and not video. I'm sure there must be better/easier options.
