- Answer To burn a CD, you will need to use rewritable disc. Once you create a CD using a CD-R disc you cannot add, delete or modify. ^Daphane

- Answer You can, but Chrome OS can read individual files on these disks if they are in a supported file format. This means you can easily open image or audio files in Chrome OS from files on a CD or DVD. However, there are some limitations. You cannot play an audio CD or a movie on a DVD and you cannot write anything to a CD, or DVD disc. Chrome OS does not support optical disks to let you play music or movies.

- Answer The LG - 8x External USB Double-Layer DVD±RW/CD-RW Drive - Black, Model # SP80NB80 was released in 2017 before macOS high Sierra version 10.13.6 was released so the owner's manual only says that it is compatible with Mac OS X v.10.7.5 or Higher Operating Systems. It doesn't come with a software installation disc for Mac, but your acOS high Sierra version 10.13.6 should be able to detect the drive...^IFV
