• You can turn off the craft ice maker, however, according to the manual, each ice bin is specifically designed for each type of ice, and you will not be able to produce mini ice in both bins. However, you can turn the craft ice maker off and then just dump the mini ice bin into the craft ice bin for extra storage.

• yes, inside the door on the right side you have push button controls to turn each of those ice makers on/off.
