“Does anyone know if LG has made any modifications to help with the compressor problem. I absolutely love the appearance of this model but after reading about the class action law suite over the LG linear compressor failures I’m really afraid to buy it.”

We appreciate your interest in our refrigerators. We are always reevaluating the parts used in our products to ensure the standards that are set are achieved. We make changes to not only the parts but to the warranty as well when needed. Our refrigerators now come with a 1 year parts and labor warranty on the entire unit as well as a 5 year parts and labor warranty on the compressor and sealed system and a 10 year parts only warranty on the compressor. ^CP

I hope they have been retesting it over and over again to determine the issue because I love the compartments etc. HOWEVER The compressor issue is a barrier for purchase !

Was informed by someone that the compressors were an issue on this model . We had to go with a different refrigerator. Now I am building a house and would like to purchase this model but I am afraid of the compressor issues
