The audible signals on the LG 1.5 cu. ft. NeoChef™ Countertop Microwave with Smart Inverter and EasyClean®, Model # LMC1575ST are available to guide you when setting and using the oven and a tone will sound each time you touch a key. A melody signals the end of a Timer countdown or the end of a cooking cycle. They cannot be muted. ^CP
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it's easy. 6 screws and you're in. Remove the little round, blue speaker on the circuit board inside. Search on 'chime' and the original person's answer who figured this out will pop up. My eternal gratitude to him. One word of caution. DO NOT go poking around inside the microwave. It's safe to pull the speaker off of the circuit board, but there is a capacitor in another area that can give you quite a bad shock. So, get in, pull the speaker, and get out.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Apparently you can't turn off the sounds. We have one at work and it's right outside my office and I hear the beeps and stupid chime it plays about 1000 times a day. It's really irritating. Go with a different model that you can turn the sound off, trust me, it's worth it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No idea if sound can be turned off. But, the "beep" is more of a pleasant, melodic chime than an annoying beep tone.
