Currently, the only two HDTVs in the 2014 lineup with 3D at 55" are the 55LA8600 and the 55LA6900 which are both capable of Dual Play. I doubt that either one of these is out as a refurbished unit, but without a model number, it is impossible to know what unit you might be referring to.
