• The BP175 has an HDMI output to connect to your TV. It does not have a port to connect to a surround sound system in addition to the TV. ^CP

• The player hooks up via hdmi to your multichannel capable receiver (into the Blu-ray or dvd input. Your multichannel capable receiver has an hdmi “out” which attaches to your tv’s hdmi input.

• If you run this through your receiver or home theater system with HDMI it will provide the audio quality and level of the recorded product. I run 5.1.1 just perfectly through this model.
