A:AnswerIt does not play a VHS tape. It does however plays dvd and Blue Ray. You might want to speak with a Best Buy associate to upgrade your home entertainment options for more up to date technology. Thank You for your inquiry.
A:AnswerDo you have sound? Here's the tough question... How old is your TV? If you've tried using all the different ports, incompatibility might be an issue.
A:AnswerWe are sorry to see you are experiencing an issue with streaming on your BP175. Based on the issues you are describing, it sounds like you may need a technician to check it out. This may be done through our website: http://www.lg.com/us/support/repair-service/schedule-repair-us ^CP

A:AnswerNo, but it has a stub to install Netflix. Netflix performs poorly on this device though. If you want to stream I would look for something else.
A:AnswerWhen I purchased mine 3 weeks ago there was no mention of this player being region free by the Best Buy Web Site or the Best Buy Sales Associate. That being said, the subject did not come up while I was discussing the purchase with the Best Buy Sales Associate. I have not seen any Manufacturer advertising for this player so I do not know if LG is claiming that it is region free. After seeing this question in my email I did try playing a PAL DISC and it did not play, this player does not play PAL DISCS and is not region free.
A:AnswerNeither the BP175 nor any of our other Blu-ray DVD or regular DVD Players are designed to be mounted vertically and will not play properly if mounted vertically or the disc would fall out due to the way the disc tray is designed. ^CP
